Burleigh Osteopathic Clinic is a multidisciplinary health clinic primarily offering Osteopathy (Osteopathic Manual Therapy), along with Massage Therapy, Podiatry, Dietician and Acupuncture services. If you have pain, injury, or any other musculoskeletal issue, we are here to help. Started in 2005, we pride ourselves on delivering an honest, caring and professional approach. Osteopaths are primary health practitioners trained to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal problems in people of all ages. Our staff are required to maintain ongoing education requirements in accordance with federal allied health board registration so you can rest assured our team are well trained and highly skilled. We treat conditions like sciatica, neck pain, back pain, jaw pain, shoulder, hip and elbow problems, headaches, sports injuries and more. Our clinic aims to promote healing and recovery in a welcoming, friendly and relaxed environment. Osteopathy, or Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT), is a hands on therapy aiming to restore optimum tissue function & repair by helping correct altered bodily structure. Osteopathy is considered part of Allied Health and is not an alternative medicine, we just take a holistic approach to musculo-skeletal health.
Osteopaths employ a broad range of treatment modalities such as but not limited to: soft tissue massage (STM), spinal & peripheral joint manipulation (HVLA), mobilisations, stretching, muscle energy techniques (MET), electro-therapies such as ultrasound & TENS and functional releases.
MASSAGE TREATMENTS
Massage is the manual working of deeper and superficial layers of connective tissue and muscle, using a variety of techniques, to improve function, stimulate the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being. Anyone who has had a massage knows the benefits such as feeling renewed and restored. We offer deep tissue, sports, & remedial massages.
